:spit Nice "smiley." Can't help but love a Spit'! :D

As the title suggests, this is my first post. I hope it's going into the "Introductions thread" I didn't see a "reply" option, only "New Topic" so here I are. (Bad grammar is intentional for humor's sake. :) )

So I was a machinist for a lotta years but, old injuries caught up with me and put me on the 'retired' pile. Today I watch a few cows and putter in my shop in the barn. That barn is located in the Piney Woods of East Texas by the way.

I am a veteran of the US Army 1974-81. That's where I picked up those old injuries I referred to. If anybody is interested about the VA Claims process, I can tell you a few things.

I am an experienced forum poster being a moderator on two such. (I well am aware that has no bearing here and intend to conduct myself as the guest I am.) My primary forum interest is Military surplus rifles. Along the way I developed an especial interest in Yugoslav Mausers and made friends with some very neat people. I have written and co-authored some articles published in the Military Rifle Journal, The Gun Report, and helped edit a major gun book.

I have always had an interest in aviation, flying in any way but, especially military aviation. I built many models, plastic and balsa, as a youth and am getting back into it along with some late coming boys.

My primary reason for registering here is that My dad was in the CBI in WWII. He was an MP and truck driver but a sport pilot and took some pictures of airplanes over there. I have a couple images of unusual variations of B25 and I intend to post the images and see if I can find out anything about them.

The first name is Jim aka 'nothernug- a'notherNewUslessGuy. That explains the odd ball name. It is the same I use on other forums so if any of you recognize the name, it's me. Howdy to you and say hello. :)

Got some things to do right now so I'll be posting those images later.
I hope I have not over done.
Thanks
