My name is Jim Reed and I live in Grand Prairie, Tx. I have been a member of the CAF since 1995. I am a member of the B29/B24 Squadron, The Minnesota Wing, and the Invader Squadron. I have helping restore the control surfaces of our A26. The A26 is being restored in Breckenridge and hopefully it will be airworthy in a month or 2. My Dad was with the 12th AF in WW2(310BG 428BS). He is my reason for being in the CAF. He bought me a CAF cap in the middle 70s, when the HQ was still in Harligen. I am a retired Law Enforcement Officer and I now have time to participate in CAF activities. I am a big fan of the WW2 Bombers. I really enjoy being a member of the B29/B24 outfit. The Minnesota Wing is special to me because "Miss Mitchell" is painted in the colors of a sister squadron of my Dad's squadron. The Invader Squadron is one of the newer CAF squadrons. We meet at the Vintage Flight Museum at Meacham Field in Fort Worth, TX. I am also a volunteer and member of the Vintage Flight Museum. I am really excited about becoming a member of WIX.
