Hi

Hoping someone can please point me in the direction of a website if one exists that might list USAAF station base numbers from WWII situated in the USA that you often find on movement cards etc. like 4366 for Lawson Field etc as an example. Any help appreciated.

I do not have a resource for bases across the US but I know that at the height of 1944, Wendover Airfield had just under 20,000 stationed and training here.

I doubt there will be a website, but I'd recommend the book "Aircraft Record Cards of the United States Air Force: How to Read the Codes", which does contain a listing.

I think the question is about base designation codes or numbers. With all the outlying training fields you might think there would be a unique identifier for each base. There must be a list somewhere but it would probably change over time.

Base numbers on aircraft record cards remain the same. I can't recall if satellite bases have unique 4-digit numbers but suspect they do: there are certainly a lot of them numbered and the book I referred to above has a listing.
