there is alot of saber rattling going on. i'm surprised the current u.s. administration is standing up to it. this punk kim un dung heap doesn't know his crap from his egg roll. n. korea has severed the cease fire agreement, severed the north / south hot line & is going to get a rude awakening.

So you think that they weren't ready until just now?

And why risk a B-2? The administration certainly isn't risking them in Pakistan. Why not just send over a bunch of cruise missiles like Clinton did to bomb that aspirin factory? The President could use a diversion about now to distract the public from the economy.

First, you're talking about CNN here. Since even before the first Desert Storm they weren't known as being "military competent", so why would they suddenly have knowledge that they haven't possessed since CNN began? Any B-2's that are primed for response on North Korea are on Guam or Diego Garcia, where they've been operating out of for some time. These are global strike assets, they're not going to put them within the tactical attack sphere, just as the USAF didn't put its B-52s anywhere near Iraq during Desert Storm in 1992, instead running marathon flights from Barksdale, Diego, and Fairford.

I suspect we'll see SSN and SSGN TLAM strikes as the first response to any N. Korean aggression.

How about dropping a 2,000 pound paintball on their marching square to get their attention.

All hype.

North Korea starts running the PR machine/their mouthes, the U.S. conducts a small "show of force." B-2s/F-22s/carrier battle groups...assets already in South Korea.

Nothing is going to happen unless North Korea acts first. Even Kim Jong-Un is smart enough to realize that one American aircraft carrier posses enough firepower to absolutely demolish most of his military, on the first night of action.

Now if a nuke is lit off somewhere and it can be traced back to the North...now that's a whole 'nother story. Hopefully that doesn't happen.

Cheers,
Rob

Didn't Jimmy Buffett suggest something similar with Cuba?
Leaflet bomb the place with mail order catalogs from L.L.Bean, Sporty's and Victory's Secret, wait a week that do it again with nice crisp $5 bills.
