Yes Mudge, you are correct.
That is scary sitting like that, it looks like if you broke wind, that it would tip over on her side!
Actually it looks like they are what we used to call "K-Balling" Or "canniballizing" the aircraft for all serviceable parts.

Now that the PBY is leaving Austin Acres, we do need to find something to fill it's spot...that P-47 would be a good start.

Look how rough the invasion stripes are. Just reminds you how quickly so many aircraft had to be painted. In many cases I beleive that they were still wet when they took off! Nice pic , as usual. Thanks Jack.
