I will post these separate of the other Grumman photographs, these are the people that made the airplanes from the 1940's to the 1980's. These will be for all the Grumman retirees and family members. I have no idea what people are doing in most of the photos, remember right click and save will give some info........

These are really neat! It takes you back to a bygone era when aerospace in the country was really, really big.

I wonder if that mural in the background of photo #33 is still in existence?
Should have at least been slated to be saved for a museum.

Wow, incredible pics! I found myself looking at many pictures wondering about the history behind the face. Wondering if they're still around or gone from this earth. Wondering what their impact was at their job and in life.
Thanks for sharing

I really love images like that and it was quite a trip I just took. I share Lightjug’s post too. You can also see the changes in clothes, hair styles, equipment, cars, aircrafts, etc. Especially, you see women as a work force. Not that I’m a nostalgic guy, but I can almost guess they worked happier back then, not because they’re smiling, but in a sense that they were all part of a big family. Corporations back in those days gave you that feeling. In today’s world it’s all about global this, global that and people are more self-centered, trying to reach corporate demands, no matter what. It’s just another job. In your images you can feel that they were really proud of what they were doing, they were commited, dedicated and made no effort in doing the best for their corporate family and to their country.

W O W !
I'm really into these kinds of pics that show large scale manufacturing like that, amazing and SO CLEAR!

It's sad that we don't see that kind of engineering and manufacturing going on nowadays.

Pictures here bring back memories. Picture #33 I think was a mural in the Plant 2 Main entrance. I even found myself in one of them LOL. So many good times & great people to work with.
