I'm not sure anyone BUT Topping made desk models of the Cutlass.

No, Vought made models in house, as well as competitor companies making models of their competition's aircraft.

Obviously, Topping models were procured as the primary give-aways and company store fodder, but the in-house produced models were those given to dignitaries, admirals, and politicians.


Here's a shot of my F7U-3 Salesman's model with complete underwing store complement.Vought produced three of these and each was different.......
