Jan. 25, 1959 AMERICAN AIRLINES began Boeing 707 service between New York and Los Angeles, think about that while you MOO-ve along in the 'grope you' lines @ the airport  . It used to be exciting, fun, and a real adventure to fly in a jet airliner. :?

Years ago, working for AA, I had to change a damaged L1 entry door on a 727. I got one from stock and installed it and was trying to rig the stops which were different than what came off the old door. Me and my work partner scratched our heads for awhile and talked to our tech services. After a few hours, tech services called us and asked what the serial number of the new door. It turns out the serial number was for a 707 door which had the same part number as a 727 door but a different dash #. They said package it up and send it back to Tulsa. We had flown the last 707 years earlier but still had a few 707 parts around.
