VFM restoration of Jackie Cochran's Beech 18 -- GoFundMe

Sat Jun 20, 2020 7:36 pm

Everyone knows who Amelia Earhart is, the woman who disappeared while trying to fly around the world. Not everyone knows the woman who holds more aviation records than anyone, living or dead, male or female - Jackie Cochran! She formed the Womens Airforce Service Pilots (WASP's) in WWII and was the first woman to break the sound barrier. Those are just a couple of her accomplishments!

The Vintage Flying Museum is proud to own the last aircraft owned by Jackie Cochran, a Beech Model E18S-9700 "Super 18". Restoring this aircraft to flight will be a major part of the museum's educational programs. Once restored, the Beech will be flown to air shows and events to serve as a flying memorial to Ms. Cochran and her achievements, the WASPs, and women in aviation. We have lots of work to do. The airplane hasn't flown since the 1980's and it's been an A&P school training aircraft since then. Please donate! We really appreciate any amount. Every penny helps!

The Museum has created a Go-Fund-Me page for raising funds. Use this link to donate.
