Has anyone ever visited the Wings Field airshow held in the first week of Sept for the lasr 15 years or so? Wings Field is located in Blue Bell PA just outside of Philadelphia and it is the site of the Aviation Country Club. For extra credit what happened there in 1929.

Anyway the show has had the likes of Harold Pitcairn's son flying his autogyro and other vintage types.

I've attended several years running - a very pleasant afternoons' visit, and proceeds benefit Angel Flight as well.
More of a fly-in than an airshow per se, but usually something interesting to be seen. A couple of years ago there was a lovely Bellanca Skyrocket. Steve Pitcairn usually has at least one Mailwing there - didn't he donate the 'gyro to a museum recently ? Hasn't been there the last couple of years.
Didn't the Ford Reliability Tour stop there in '29 ? I know it was out of Pitcairn Field in Bryn Athyn about this time.
