Those are both rare airplanes indeed. Did not realize the NB-3 was still in existance. Have seen two NB-8's over the years. I know John Cournoyer had one. Wonder if that one in the museum was John's......Albert...need help here?????

I'm not sure where that NB-8 came from, maybe the east coast? The one John Halterman and John Cournoyer owned is still in the museum here at Creve Coeur. My hat is off to the folks up there in Marshall. They have done a great job saving an interesting slice of aviation history. Here's an old link from our museum's website. As far as I know, the information on our NB-8 is accurate. Not sure about the company history. Maybe...sort of.....I'm pretty sure it all happened like that.....

I was pointed to a Quenset building in Marshall once and told a wing for this aircraft was in it. Couldn't ever ferify it.

I remember that Art Romeo (Head of The Grumman Restoration Team) was doing some free-lance, light restoration work on the NB-8 on Long Island for the owner, in the late 1970s-early 80s. They were having magneto problems (and needed some othe parts from us) and finally finished it up. Forget who the owner was. It might have been at Bayport Aerodrome on L.I..where there were a lot of antique planes. But I seem to remember that their NB-8, with AS Genet, was mostly all black at that time. Maybe with some white or yellow trim?
