Had a productive year, although a few of these definitely drug their feet.

Nice work! I like the multiple tones of bare metal on the F-104. The Tigercat looks cool in grey, too.

Thank you!
Bare metals have been my favorites lately.
As for the Tigercat, my model cabinet is black, so the dark sea blue models absolutely disappear in there, so I try to find other markings for them if they are available. There wasn't for the F7F, so I just imagined that it carried on flying CAS into the 60's.

That's a really cool scheme for a Tigercat. It's easy to imagine one painted that way if they'd served a bit longer and it brings some of the AU-1 Corsair schemes to mind.

What do you use for your bare metal schemes? I haven't yet attempted one and I'm definitely too chicken to try it with my current skill level. I need to improve my seam work and surface prep before I attempt one. I've heard good things about Alclad but have also heard it can be really fussy.

I strictly use spray cans on my stuff. I grab a couple of different Tamiya silver colors, Spray one over all, mask some panels, spray it again, mask some panels, spray it again. All exhaust work I do with craft acrylics brushed over the silver base coat.

How did you do the C-47 prop arc? That looks fantastic! Is that part of the kit, aftermarket or did you make that yourself?

A true challenge might be to replicate what you get from a digital photo however.

Thanks! I cut circles out of some clear plastic from some packaging. I scribed the prop blades with the x-acto, and colored them in with a #2 pencil, and a little bit of yellow paint.
