All-

A little off topic, but model related! I am looking for someone to make me some custom decals for the Trumpeter LaFrance fire engine. I have the graphics, but cannot produce them myself as I don't have the resources. I am looking for custom decals for the Denver Fire Department, to mark up one of the Trumpeter kits for a retirement present for a friend. I am willing to pay, or trade a kit for the decals. If you can help, please e-mail me at Dennis7423@yahoo.com. Thanks!

I heard you can buy the Film and print your own decal sheets now days using an ink-jet printer.

Any Wix'ers have any sucess with this, or able to add more info?

Dennis,
Try Micromark, they carry the paper. I've not tried it yet, but, I have a project(1/48 F-101 MeANG) that requires a change in scale(I have 1/72-need 1/48) for the decals and plan on using this method. I do believe that with the inkjet, you need to seal the decals after you print them. Fine Scale Modeler mag. has had articles on this subject in recent years. Good luck!

Can't help with decals Dennis but I could possibly laser cut you some stencils if you wanted to paint the markings or I could cut vinyl stick-ons for you if they are not too complex. (or too small) Good luck with it.
