My friend gave me these old kits last week. They are very cool! Vintage Monogram SuperKits. They were her father's and never built. Only kit missing from the complete set is the P-40. They're part balsa, part plastic. Over course, there was a Corsair in the bunch!

those kits are worth a nice buck, i had a few, & made nothing but $$$$ on them. even the boxes themselves are worth money. are you going to build them, or just collect them?? they are very nostalgic just the way they are for display.

Neat stuff!

It would be fun to make a new Mustang (or whatever kit) fuselage out of stock (to avoid ruining he actual kit) and try carving it to final shape...just to try it.

My uncle left me a 1943 book on carving WWII models (it's so old, it calls the Mustang the Apache) I really ought to try one for fun.
Of course with that, all you get is plans and photos, so a bit more work than what you have here...and no plastic pieces.
