This company, Kits-World, has been doing some nice sets of decals featuring a ton of nice nose art.

Newly announced sets include the Memphis Belle movie B-17's as well as all the Zodiac B-24's.

I've ordered from them direct and had no issues with getting my decals and they look real nice. If you prefer to not order from overseas they are also available from Sprue Brothers and that is an awesome company to order from.

I only wish I had the room and time to build them all!

On the SB site if you add an item to your cart you can choose a shipping option based on your location and see what your shipping charge will be. Their rates are very reasonable.

Actually, 10-15 bucks is about normal for new decal sheets these days.

The problem with the Zodiac aircraft is that all were Ford-built B-24Hs..for which no kit is available. Monogram's B-24J is the only turret-nose Liberator in 1/48 (if you can find one..it's been out of production since the early 90s) and it represents a Consolidated built aircraft. Same in 1/72..both the Academy and Hasegawa B-24s are Consolidated birds. The only B-24 kit to feature the distinctive "Ford nose" is the Academy B-24M, and even then the countours aren't quite right (it also has the big rectangular "bay" windows on the sides of the nose..correct for an M, but not for an H.)

Still, they have some great decals listed..I'm definitely planning to pick up their P-61 sheet. That's a subject that has been sorely neglected in 1/72 scale!

Didn't someone come out with a resin conversion for the Ford nose in 1/48 at one point?

I've done a couple of conversions of the Academy nose and it isn't too hard to accomplish. Both of the finished airplanes have gone to new owners but I have another one started somewhere. I guess we could do a thread showing how to accomplish the conversion.?

I looked at the kits world site, didnt see anything about memphis belle movie decals, where did you see this.

To 330Bg, if you think $12 is alot, you poop yourself if you saw how much cutting edge/pyn-up decals go for.

I also stumbled upon this site recently. Interesting subject indeed. With the photos Stoney have posted here at WIX of the Catch-22 B-25s a couple of sheets with the aircraft from that movie ought to be next in line...
