No airplanes would make any sense. I seriously considered showing a crashed CG-4 glider, as the 101st did fly over that valley the year it takes place, but nobody make a Waco kit in that scale I'm aware of...
My layout is O scale narrow gauge, taking place in East Tennessee during 1943. It's a small section of military stuff, for a single Company of a (fictional) Railway Operating Battalion. I think I'm the
only person in the hobby with his own fictional Railway Unit insignia!
