Hey WIXers! If you are out West or want to catch a cheap flight into Wendover (check out wendoverfun.com for charter flights into Wendover) for the October 22nd weekend we are having a "All Access tour of the base!

This is a “behind the scenes” all-access tour of the Historic Wendover Airfield. You will be guided by museum staff as you step into the past and truly, “Walk where they Walked”.

Cost is $45 per person which includes lunch in the renovated John T Brinkman Club midway through the tour. Additionally bottled water is provided throughout the tour.

For the tour you will be riding in vintage U.S. military troop transport trucks which will give you an elevated view as we travel around the base. Be aware there will be a small step ladder to get into and out of the trucks. Be sure to dress warmly, bring your camera, sunglasses and good walking shoes!

Please meet at the John T Brinkman Service club hall behind the airfield tower at 10:00am. The tour lasts about 4.5 hours, including lunch.
To reserve your tour seat contact the Museum via the “Contact Us “ form here: http://www.wendoverairbase.com/contact

Buildings and features you can expect to see on this tour:
Atomic bomb loading pit, Bomb storage bunkers, Atomic bomb assembly buildings, Enlisted mess hall, Enlisted barracks, Nurses quarters,
Norden bombsight building, Officers mess hall, B-29 "Enola Gay" Hanger, Base hospital faculties

Please be aware some areas are not handicap accessible, but some accommodations can be made. Please let us know in advance if you feel you may need to make such arrangements.

Thanks,

Tom P.
