Cindy - it should be a great air show this year! Hope there are at least 5 to 6 P-38's in the air. We have a thread going in the regular WIX hangar that is more likely to get attention from warbird enthusiasts on WIX:

Not one who usually passes out accolades, unless well deserved, but I have to state just how wonderful it was the other day to have a conversation with Cindy from the Planes of Fame organization. She not only took the time and effort to return my message, but with a personal phone call at that, (which is far too rare these days). As one who has a tremendous amount of work to continue to prepare for the upcoming POF airshow, for her to spend some time talking to me was an exceptionally kind and generous thing to do. As many may not be aware Cindy (among many other obligations) is the coordinator of all the volunteers that work the airshow. To say this is a monumental task is an understatement and no one better for the job I'm quite sure.

Cindy has extended a sincere welcome not only to me but any other WIXers who may attend the airshow and I have no doubts the show will be another outstanding success. I encourage you to seek her out if possible during the show, shake her hand and give her a big 'thank you' for her usual job well done. Thx Cindy for the call. A great pleasure to chat and I look forward to meeting you in person at the show if your not too busy.

Thanks again,

Mark

Mark,
Thank you for the kind words. I thoroughly enjoyed our conversation and look forward to meeting you.

I've had the pleasure of meeting many WIX folks over the years at the Chino show as well as some of the east coast shows. Many years ago, we would all gather near the gift shop booth (that's where I was working at the time) and do a WIX group photo. Those were great times!

See you in a few weeks!!!

I do it with a lot of great help from our volunteers! Yesterday alone, we had 4 - 6 volunteers at any given time, working on airshow stuff to ensure we have everything ready for our volunteers. That's just one small part of what it takes, but in many ways, the most important part.
The rest...lots of little Cindy clones ;) hahahaha.....now THAT is a scary thought!

Lynn

P.S. Cindy, I guess there will be t-shirts for sale after the show online at the gift shop??

Yes! All five took to the air for one very impressive sight! Yanks F-5 was static in the show area.
