G'day gents,

In light of the issues arising from the 'WIX Editorial Opinion Piece' thread, I sent the following message by PM. For some reason the two messages are in my outbox and not in my sent folder. I'm not sure whether they got to you, but I'll post the message here for your consideration.

G'day Scott and Ryan,

If I may, I'd like to offer my support as a possible moderator. As an Australian, I'm online at times when you good folks are in bed, so I may be able to be of assistance. I believe that my posts have been pretty fair as I try to be a helpful member of whatever discussion board I'm involved with.

I'm currently a moderator of a number of discussion forums, the main one being the Milsurps.com Lee-Enfield rifle forum shown here;

http://www.milsurps.com/forumdisplay.php?f=72

As a moderator on a board with many varied people with widespread opinions and thoughts, I've had to tread a gentle yet occasionally firm line to ensure stability and respect on the boards. I believe I could offer the same service at WIX.

Anyway, if I can be of assistance, I'd be delighted to help. Personally, I'm 39 years of age and have been involved with warbirds since my mid teens. I've volunteered at Moorabbin Air Museum in Melbourne, Australia, and have undertaken restoration work on a number of airworthy and static projects. I learned to fly in the mid-90s and have occasionally kept it up as time and finances have allowed. I work as the workshop coordinator of a large railway workshop, carrying out rebuilds, servicing and maintenance of locomotives and rolling stock. I also have a rail interest, so I am well aware of the differences and particular quirks of enthusiasts of such fields!

So, I'd be happy to offer whatever support and assistance that I can.

Cheers,
Matt

I think they stay in the outbox till they've been opened then they move to the sent box.
