Hi All,

Can anyone out there can help me, I'm wish to find out if asbestos was used in WW2 aircraft, mainly the B-24. I have spoken to the B-24 Restoration group here in Australia, they think so, but not 100% sure. All info much welcome.

Thank you

Gunnie

I know that my Fairchild had it wrapped around the avgas fired heaters for the crew compartment. I would make the leap that any a/c that used the same type heating systems has the potential for it in the heater assemblies.
