Aluminum Overcast is at Peoria airport today. I saw it yesterday and some of the vets that flew in B-17's showed up. One guy was a ball turret gunner. He was the smallest guy in the crew. He is also the only one still living from the crew. He will be 89 soon. http://i198.photobucket.com/albums/aa229...

Minot Airport, where the museum is located, is 160 feet higher than the river. Minot is located in a valley formed by the river. The airport is on the plains above the town. I spent 3 years stationed at Minot AFB from 1963 to 1966.

The big problem is lack of money, just like everybody else. The city owns the hangers the museum is in and they want close down the hangers in 2 to 3 years.

The National Museum of the United States Air Force is worried about the ability of the Chanute Museum to care for their aircraft. They have asked for voluntary multiple release of aircraft to be relocated. This is according to a letter I received for the museum saturday. They did not say which aircr...

When I was a kid I would go to the movies and next door was the bus station. In the bus station was a snack bar and there was a machine that took pennies and gave you an aircraft postcard. I spent lots of pennies on that machine. Over 50 years later I still have over 50 of these postcard and as I sc...

It will do 6 negatives in a plastic slide holder and 3 slides in a plastic slide holder. The quality is great for color and black and white negatives and...
